Elementary

Works in the “Elementary” series are from a solo show in 2016. The show included six works in total related to the top six elements that make up roughly 95% of the human body – oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus. Each piece contains materials related to the element and the pattern is derived from the repetition of the letter representing the element in the periodic table. The works are meant to give pause and contemplation to the fact that on a fundamental level we are bodies made of the same elements, shared not only between us but across the planet and the universe.
